It’s a brand new year, a brand new 52 weeks to share with you Amelia’s (well mine really) favourite outfit for the week. I’m hoping to do this every week this year but we’ll see how we get on.
I’ve started the counting back at entry number one so I can keep a track as we go along through 2018, I can do this!
My first kiddie outfit post is from New Years Day when I dressed Amelia up in her finest with no where to go. I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear her dress and New Years Day seemed like the right time even though we weren’t planning to leave the house and were just relaxing with family at home.
This dress was originally bought for her birthday back in October but it was way too big for her at the time so she didn’t wear it and I haven’t really found another occasion worthy of such a pretty dress.
Originally I didn’t have a cardigan to go with it which actually would have been a problem had my parents not bought this lovely (and perfectly matching) one for Christmas. It was just a fluke that the colours went together so perfectly but it made such a lovely outfit that they’re always going to be a match now.
We had a lovely day together to bring in the new year, Amelia got a few more gifts; one from her Nana and Grandad that we forgot to give her at Christmas and one from family friends my parents spent New Years Eve with. She is getting so good at tearing up wrapping paper and so good at tidying it all up too (my kinda girl).
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Day, even it was spent nursing a hangover. Here’s to a wonderful 2018, and 51 more outfit posts…
