November: To Do

November 6, 2017

It’s a shiny new month and it’s officially the start of the festive period. I know many will say it’s too early to think about Christmas but it’s really not. Only, 6 weeks to go and there’s so much to do before the big day so you gotta start early.

Don’t think I’ll be putting my tree up just yet I’m not that into it but I will be starting to think about preparations and getting excited about it all. I’m even more excited this year because Amelia will be old enough to enjoy some elements of it. Last year she was only 8 weeks old and quite frankly the day was hard bloody work, trying to celebrate and enjoy the day whilst also doing all the normal things am 8 week old new born needs on a daily basis meant it wasn’t quite as festive as I would have liked but this year…oh I’m so excited.

There are a few things I want to do this month because it all becomes about tinsel and sparkly lights:

Create a Christmas Gift Guide for the blog – every single year I see so many beautiful gift guide posts being uploaded and I find them so inspiring and lovely to read but I’m never organised enough to have done one for my own site. This year though, I’m going to try so hard to get one organised for you and share some of my favourite things on offer this year.

Reach the next stone bracket – this is a personal goal for me, I would love love love to reach the next stone bracket on the scales before Christmas but to be honest if I put my mind to it I think I can do it in November. I need to lose 5.5lbs this month to reach it and then anything over that is a bonus in the run up to Christmas. How great would it be to be able to buy a new outfit for the Christmas team meal and feel great in it.

Share more moments – I really want to expand the sorts of things I share on my Instagram feed, sometimes I feel like I have a good balance and then other times I just seem to post the same stuff and I’m sure it gets super boring to look at. On that subject, I would love to hear what you would like to see more or less of on my account?

Practice flatlays – I set this as a 2017 goal and I’ve not done very well with it at all. I don’t know whether I just don’t have the right props or the right vision but I’m hopeless at taking flatlay photos but they look so pretty when other people do them and with Christmas on the cards there is no better flatlay season so I need to up my game and get to it. Any tips? Please share?

These are just some of things I want to do this month and it’s a long month so I should have time to get them all done. Whilst I’m on the subject of monthly goals and the blog I would love to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see more of on here? fashion, home, reviews, tech? what do we like? let me know in the comments and give me some inspiration of things to write about that you actually want to read about.

You’re far too harsh about your flatlays – I always think the look superb X
