Monthly Favourites

November Favourites

December 8, 2017

At the start of the year I said I wanted to do one of these posts every month for the year and I’ve almost completed my goal. I’m on my 11th entry for my monthly favourites and I’m still loving writing them and sharing my favourite moments and ;purchases from the last month.

November has been a good month it seems, I have 7 entries to add this month so I’ll just get straight to it.

Pop Socket

I haven’t posted about this item on here just yet but I do have a blog written to share with you, I am in love with my Pop Socket, it’s completely changed the way I use my phone and made it feel so much more secure in my hand especially when Amelia is trying to grab it from me.

If you want to know more about them, keep your eyes peeled over the next few days for my full review post.

White Stuff PomPom Slippers (link to similar styles)

Three words that make me very happy; pompoms, fluffy and slippers. These little beauties are so comfy and cosy when it’s been super cold lately. They’re also a size smaller than I normally wear and I never thought they would fit me when I tried them on so it’s like an extra bonus that I got to have them.

BeatsX Wireless Headphones

I did a full post about these last week (read it here) and they are amazing. I’m not a sound boff by any means and I’m sure tech fans would have a list of why other headphones are better but personally these do everything I need. They’re comfortable, sound good, last 8 hours on a charge and I don’t need to be plugged in to my phone to listen to music, insta stories or youtube videos.

I never thought that I needed wireless headphones but not that I’ve used them, I’ll never go back to wired ones.

Funkie Dories Soft Play

This applies to any soft play center I suppose but we have been going to our local one in Fareham, and we’ve been loving it. I think it’s because Amelia is so much bigger now and more active. She loves the ball pits and has learnt to climb on the toys and launch herself into the pits.

She’s learnt from watching other children play and it’s been so lovely to watch her interact with other children and laugh her head off whilst she plays. I wrote a post recently about my new love for soft play, read it here.

Apple Watch

This thing, possibly my favourite piece of tech after my phone, I love my Apple Watch. It just does everything I want it to do, without even thinking about it. My main reason for loving it so much it is counts my steps whilst I am pushing a pram or with my hands in my pockets when it’s super cold. When you need those steps for calorie counting diet, this is a game changer.

I’m not going to go into any more detail about the Watch because I’ve written a couple of blogs about it already which you can find under the Reviews section of my site if you want to have a read.

Wet Brush

For years and years I have been using a Tangle Teaser on my hair, to get out knots after a shower and it’s been fine. I never thought there was anything wrong with it, then I heard about Wet Brush and decided to give it a try. It’s changed everything, my hair was still falling out like there was no tomorrow after having Amelia but it turns out my Tangle Teaser might have been making things worse.

Since using the Wet Brush, I have noticed a huge reduction in the hair falling out whilst brushing and styling it, it’s still coming out a lot (thanks post-partum hair loss) but it’s a lot better than it was. It also doesn’t pull my hair as much as the Tangle Teaser used to so it’s now my go-to only hair brush.

New hair cut

Who doesn’t love a new hair cut and us mama’s don’t often get the chance to treat ourselves to a pampering. I was so excited to get my hair curt a few weeks ago and honestly it’s changed more than just my hair. That might sound stupid but it’s given me more confidence, I feel like I look better and that makes me feel better, I’m more inclined to make an effort with my hair now and I just love the layers that have been added to give my hair more movement.

Gosh, so much to share with you all, I am sure December’s entry will be full of festive goodness. I think December is by far my favourite month of year and I can’t wait to share what we get up to.

Rachel xx
