March Favourites

April 10, 2017

Well March flew by in a flash didn’t it? I swear when I was working time didn’t go this fast but it’s unstoppable and waits for no one so I am doing my best to ensure that I make the most of the time off that I have left with Amelia.

Here are my favourite things from the month of March…

Flatlay Props

My wonderful friends asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I told them I wanted flatlay props like ribbon and candles. It was a totally weird and random thing to ask for but these little details really make a different to your photos and improving my flatlay and blog photos is one of my goals for the year so it made sense.

Aldi Jo Malone Inspired Candle

If you saw in the news all the fuss that was made about these Aldi candles well I can tell you it was all completely true. They are lovely, in fact they’re so good that I bought another one ready for when this one runs out. I chose scent number 1 out of the 3 available because it smelt the most subtle and I hate overpowering candles. This one is perfect and has a Lime, Basil and Mandarin scent.

Cherry Blossom Trees

It doesn’t last very long by it sure makes a sunny day look even more beautiful. I love blossom trees and we’re lucky enough to have three rather large ones near our house. I took Amelia to see them the other day whilst they were in full bloom, I think I was a little more excited about it though. I just love the colours and the mess they make all over the floor when the blossom falls.

Birkenstocks

You might remember when I was pregnant and my feet swelled up like an elephant I bought myself a pair of Birkenstocks in a desperate attempt to be comfortable. Well they’re back, the sun is shining and it’s warm enough for sandals again, I’ve also been able to tighten them two holes on the buckles which just shows how fat my feet really were by the end of my pregnancy. I love my birks and I am going to be living in them whilst the weather is warm.

Amelia Learning To Sit Up

This is a major milestone in my books. She’s no longer a helpless a little baby who just lays down where you put them, she has learnt to sit by herself and that is all she wants to do now. She’s still a little wobbly and if she turns her head to quickly she loses her balance but she is getting better everyday. This means more options for playing too, now that she can sit she wants to hold everything in her hands and she’s much more interested in her toys.
